In the context of the Personnel Welfare Year and in view of the completion of personnel reassignments, we dedicate the following video, with the enchanting music by the Hellenic group C:REAL, to all our colleagues who are reassigned.  HAGS continuously strives to offer the best services possible to our servicemen.  Over 3000 housing quarters are provided to meet their needs, especially in borderline areas.

Army’s Contribution to Society During June 2018, in the Field of Search - Clearance of Suspected Sites and Managing Incidents of Ammunition Detection by the Land Minefield Clearance Battalion

During June 2018, the Army, in the context of its contribution to society, provided personnel and vehicles from the Land Minefield Clearance Battalion, for the search and grant of 215 acres of land to the local communities, in which 14 mines, 82 missiles of various types and 16 grenades were detected and destroyed.

In addition, 9 incidents of explosive devices / mechanisms - ammunition (EOD) detection were managed immediately and successfully, night and day, upon request of the Ministry of Citizens’ Protection competent Authorities. 10 grenades, 4 missiles of various types and 1 mine were destroyed.

Inauguration of Athens Garrison Military Housing Quarters

On  Thursday, 05 July 2018, in the context of the declaration of year 2018 as “Personnel Welfare Year”, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Alkiviadis Stefanis attended the inauguration ceremony, regarding the delivery of four new Military Housing Quarters, in the “LIEUTENANT COLONEL (INF) FAKINOS PANAGIOTIS” Camp in Goudi.

The military housing quarters that will operate at the responsibility of the Higher Army Support Military Command (HASMC “THESEUS”), enhance with extremely low cost, the possibility of temporary accommodation, as far as active and retired officers and family members are concerned. They are furnished with the necessary amenities to cover basic living conditions.

Non-Commissioned Officers School, Class III, pays a Training Visit to the Area of Responsibility of the D Army Corps “THRACE”

In the context of training visits the Students of the Non-Commissioned Officers School, Class III paid a visit to the Area of Responsibility of the D Army Corps (D AC - “THRACE”).  More specifically they visited:

     • The Headquarters of the D Army Corps in Xanthi.

    • The Headquarters of the XII Mechanised Infantry Division (XII MECH INF DIV-EVROS”) and the Battle Tanks Simulation Centre, in Alexandroupoli.

    • The Headquarters of the XVI Mechanised Infantry Division (XVI MECH INF DIV- “DIDIMOTICHO”) in Didimoticho.

    • The Hellenic outposts “KIPI” and “1”.
