On Holy Thursday, 05 April 2018, on the occasion of the Holy Week and the Holy Easter, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Alkiviadis Stefanis, visited the Areas of Responsibility of D Army Corps "Thraki" Formations.

More specifically, he visited the Area of Responsibility of the XVI Mechanised Infantry Division "Didymotiho", the Area of Responsibility of the XII Mechanised Infantry Division "Evros", and the Area of Responsibility of the 50th Mechanised Infantry Brigade "Apsos."

The Chief exchanged wishes with the personnel of Outposts on our eastern border, as well as with National Guardsmen of the local National Guard Battalions of Lavara, Tyhero, and Feres.

Active Army, National Guard, and Reserve. With high morale, mission awareness, and love for the Country.

The Hellenic Army General Staff, within the framework of improvement of the services provided, opened an Army Post Office in the 424th Army General Training Hospital for hospital personnel, patients, and visitors.

The office opened on 06 March 2018 and provides the following services:

- Bill payment (gas, power, credit card, phone, internet, mobile phone top up, etc.).

- Payments to public authorities and insurance funds (property tax, revenue authority, traffic tickets, etc.).

- Payment of insurance premiums.

- Mail cheques – labour tickets.

- Courier services.

- Parcel services – PO boxes.

- Philately – Etiquette.
