From Monday 09th to Thursday 12th July 2018 inclusive, the procedure for the enlistment of Conscripts of the 2018 D’ Enlistment Series in the Army at the Conscripts Receptions Centers was carried out.

We would like to welcome the newly recruited Conscripts to the Army and we wish them all the best in their service and their quick inclusion in operational Units, so that they would contribute along with the remaining military personnel to the day-to-day fulfillment of the Units’ mission, for the benefit of the Army, the Armed Forces and our Country in general.

Visit by the Chief of HAGS to the Career NCO School

On Thursday, July 12th 2018, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Alkiviadis Stefanis, visited the Career NCO School in Trikala.

The Chief, during his visit:

-    Was informed about the forthcoming Oath Taking Ceremony of new Career Sergeants Class 2018 and the construction of foundations for the new Kitchen, Restaurant and Recreation building, courtesy of the Republic of Cyprus;
-    Gave instructions to newly promoted Class II and III Students of the School;
-    Welcomed graduate Students to the large family of the Army’s non-commissioned officers.

We wish them every success in their career. We are proud of them.

Army Assistance to Individuals Suffering from Rare Diseases

On Tuesday 10 July 2018, the Hellenic Army General Staff, in the context of actions contributing to society, received a request and assisted through the provision of special personnel and assets from the Mountain Warfare and Ski Training Centre, in the effort made by Ms Matina Delivou, who suffers from a very rare disease, to walk the route: “Mountain Warfare and Ski Training Centre – DIASELO Height – SCHOLIO Height, on Mount Olympus.

On behalf of all Army members, we congratulate Ms Matina Delivou, whose successful effort, reminds us all, that human limits are only there to be surpassed.
