On Friday, 08 December 2023, a ceremony was held at the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon), in the presence of the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Angelos Choudeloudis, as representative of the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Konstantinos Floros, for the graduation of the 1st and 2nd class of the Postgraduate Programme “Cryptography, Security, and Information Systems” held by the Hellenic Military Academy.


This Postgraduate Programme started on 01 October 2020. Students included graduates of Higher Military Education Institutions, Higher Education Institutions, and equivalent foreign institutions. Postgraduate students can choose to study on Cybersecurity, Information Warfare, and Geostrategic Systems.

The Hellenic Army General Staff, within the framework of its efforts to improve the safety of the children of military personnel attending Army Child Care Centres and in cooperation with the President of the Hellenic Red Cross, Dr. Antonios Avgerinos, organised a certified training for Child Care Centre personnel across the country on “Basic Life Support and Use of the Automated External Defibrillator”.


The training, provided by the Samaritan, Rescuer, and Life Guard Volunteer Corps of the Hellenic Red Cross, included, among others, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation for adults – children – infants, Use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and Choking First Aid – “Heimlich” Manoeuvre for adults – children – infants.

From 04 to 08 December 2023, within the framework of the Greece – Jordan 2023 Military Cooperation Programme, a training activity was conducted for 2 Officers and 8 NCOs of the Armed Forces of Jordan at Camp “KOROMILA ANDREA” (National Urban Warfare Operations Centre of Excellence) by 71st Airmobile Brigade “PONTOS” personnel on “Close Protection Team” tasks.


The training, which was conducted for the first time, included a briefing on the principles of VIP protection and the basic principles of convoys, followed by practice on sensitive target protection, protection team formations, protection team threat response, rifle fire training, and Close Quarter Battle.

On Monday, 04 December 2023, a ceremony was held at the Artillery School in Camp “Georgiadi Thoma” in Nea Peramos, Attica, to celebrate the Patron Saint of the Artillery, the Great Martyr Saint Barbara, in the presence of the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Mr. Ioannis Kefalogiannis, as representative of the Prime Minister, Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Konstantinos Floros, and the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Angelos Choudeloudis.
