Visit of the Chief of HAGS to the Infantry School

On Wednesday 7 June 2023, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Angelos Choudeloudis visited the premises of the Infantry School at the “Major (INF) Velissarios Ioannis” Camp in Chalkida.

 

During the visit he was briefed on the accomplishments and the mission of the School, he was given a tour of its premises and addressed the 2nd Lieutenants of Class 2022.

Programme of Military Cooperation among Greece and the United Arab Emirates 2023

From 29 May 2023 to 2 June 2023 and in the context of the Military Cooperation Programme among Greece and the United Arab Emirates 2023, a training of 3 Officers and 7 NCOs of the Armed Forces of UAE was conducted at the “1st Lieutenant Zogos Georgios” Camp, on subjects of VIPs protection.

 

The training, among others, included a briefing on the principles of accompanying VIPs and practice in the following subjects:

 

• Guarding of vulnerable targets.

DV-DAY of the “PIRIN SENTINEL - 23” Exercise

On Thursday 1 June 2023, in the context of the network of international cooperations with friendly and allied countries planned by HNDGS, the Distinguished Visitors Day – DV DAY of the Field Training Exercise “PIRIN SENTINEL - 23” was conducted at the Koren Training Area-KTA in Bulgaria, at the level of Battalion. It was conducted with the participation of detachments from the XXIII Armour Brigade “3rd Cavalry Regiment - Doryleo”, of the 1st Army Aviation Brigade “Kilkis-Lachana”, as well as detachments of the Armed Forces of Bulgaria and Italy.
