On Tuesday, 27 November 2018, the Units’ Commanders 3rd Council Meeting was held at the Hellenic Army General Staff’s headquarters.

The Council’s operation is included in the framework of the actions, established by the Hellenic Army General Staff, in the year 2017.

It convenes from time to time, in Major Operational Commands-Formations and the Hellenic Army General Staff level, in order for the Commanders to present innovative ideas, proposals and considerations, regarding issues concerning the improvement of the Units’ operation and the personnel’s everyday life.

Issues were taken under consideration, like the improvement of the healthcare by the Military Hospitals, the development of electronic applications for the better accommodation services in Officers’ Quarters, the upgrading of military exchange stores’ services provision, the use of alternative power sources, etc.

On Friday, 23 November, 2018, the 2nd Annual Meeting of Army Financial Corps Directors was held at the premises of Hellenic Army General Staff, and it was attended by the General Officers of the Financial Corps, the Directors of Finance Directorates of the Major Operational Commands and Formations, and the Commanders of Financial Units.

The topics of this year’s meeting included the new administrative and economic classification of the Budget, the formation of an Administrative Inspection framework, the new money supply plan, the completion of the double entry accounting system in the Hellenic Army and the creation of an interconnection standard between the Special Centre for the Supply of Army Units with the Army Exchange Store of Thessaloniki.

The meeting included a broad exchange of views, the submission of thoroughly considered proposals and constructive conclusions to be implemented.
