From 02 to 06 October 2023, a delegation from the “King Abdulaziz” Military College of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, consisting of its Commandant, 3 Officers, 1 professor, and 8 cadets, visited the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon), within the framework of the cooperation between the two countries.

The delegation visited the Hellenic Military Academy's facilities and was briefed on its mission, operation, and the training provided. The visit’s objective was to strengthen relations between the two Academies.

The Hellenic Army General Staff, within the framework of its constant efforts to improve personnel welfare and upgrade the border security and surveillance network, proceeded, with donations from civilians and public and private sector initiatives, to the construction and renovation of military facilities, as well as accepted a donation of utility vehicles.


In particular, the Military Housing Unit “KNITHAKI” in Didymotiho was created by reconstructing two buildings of the former Camp “EMMANOUIL KNITHAKI” with a donation from Mr. Theodoros Angelopoulos. In total, 12 apartments were constructed for the families of military personnel serving in Northern Evros.

 

The oath-taking ceremonies of 2023 E Enlistment Series Newly Recruited Soldiers took place on Friday, 06 October 2023.

The oath-taking ceremonies took place in the presence of Army General Officers, as representatives of the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Angelos Choudeloudis, religious and local government authorities, as well as family members of the newly recruited soldiers.

On Thursday, 05 October 2023, Readiness and Alert Exercise “PELEKYS” of the 1st Army Aviation Brigade “KILKIS LAHANAS” took place. The exercise did not involve helicopters deployed across the country on various missions.

On Wednesday, 06 September, and on 13-14 September 2023, candidates who succeeded in the General Examinations of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs, and Sports reported to the Hellenic Military Academy and the Career NCO School, respectively.


In particular, 263 candidates reported to the Hellenic Military Academy, including 22 from Cyprus, 6 from Armenia, 4 from Tunisia, and 4 from Senegal, and 207 candidates reported to the Career NCO School, including 42 from Cyprus and 5 from Georgia.
