On Tuesday 25 April 2023, in the presence of the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Angelos Choudeloudis and as the representative of the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff General Konstantinos Floros, the proclamation ceremony to honorary Professor of the Hellenic Army Academy of the honorary Chief of HNDGS and Regular Member of the Academy of Athens General (ret.) Dimitrios Skarvelis was conducted at the Hellenic Army Academy in Vari - Attica, honouring him for his professional and scientific course and his contribution to the field of Military Sciences.

On Sunday 23 April 2023, in the presence of the Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr Nikolaos Chardalias, as representative of the Government's President, the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff General Konstantinos Floros and the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Angelos Choudeloudis, the celebration ceremony for the Great Martyr Saint Georgios, Patron of the Army was conducted at the premises of the Infantry School at the “Major (INF) Velissarios Ioannis” Camp, in Chalkida.

Fire-fighting Flight Trials

On Holy Wednesday 12 April 2023, in the context of the preparation of the Hellenic Army General Staff for the coming fire prevention period, fire-fighting flight trials were conducted over Lake Yliki by a CH-47D helicopter of the 2nd Army Aviation Group.

 

The goal of the activity was the crews’ preparation and the update of procedures, with regards to the execution of fire-fighting missions.

Visit of the Chief of HAGS to the Area of Responsibility of C Army Corps

On 12 and 13 April 2023, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Angelos Choudeloudis, accompanied by the Commander of C Army Corps/ΝRDC-GR “Megas Alexandros” Lieutenant General Paris Kapravelos, conducted a visit to the Area of Responsibility of the Corps.

 

Especially on Holy Wednesday 12 April 2023, the Chief visited the “Major General Charalambos Katsimitros” Camp and Surveillance Outposts in the Area of Responsibility of the 8th Motorised Infantry Brigade “Ipiros” and the 9th Motorised Infantry Brigade “Andrianoupoli”.
