From 13 to 14 February 2024, the Units of the 98th Higher National Guard Battalions Command “ARCHIPELAGO” conducted operational training, which included testing a great number of tasks, such as readiness and alert exercises, asset functionality checks, and weapon system activations.

The Formation's activities were attended by the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, during his visit to the Area of Responsibility of the 98th Higher National Guard Battalions Command, confirming the high level of training, readiness, and morale of the personnel.

Furthermore, the Chief visited Units, military installations, and the Surveillance Outposts of “MITHYMNA”, “PROVOSKIDA”, and “KOUTSOUKIDI”.

The Chief addressed the Formation's personnel, stressing that knowledge of everyone's specialty and mission is required across all levels of the chain of command, which must be exercised by example. Finally, he congratulated the personnel for their work.
