Medal Award Ceremony at Hellenic First Army/EU-OHQ Headquarters

On Wednesday, 20 March 2019, a ceremony was held at the "ANTISTRATIGOU IOANNI TZANIDAKI" hall of honour at Hellenic First Army/EU-OHQ "AHILLEAS" Headquarters in Larissa for the award of medals of the Orders of Honour and the Phoenix to Officers of its Staff and Units.
The ceremony included the award of the following medals:
- Commander of the Order of Honour
- Commander of the Order of the Phoenix
- Gold Cross of the Order of Honour
- Gold Cross of the Order of the Phoenix
The medals were awarded to the Officers by the Commanding General of the Hellenic First Army, Lieutenant General Konstantinos Floros.

Execution of Fires by Crews of Tanks of the NCO School/2018 Basic Training Course

From 04 until 08 March 2019, Fires by Crews of Tanks of the NCO School/2018 Basic Training Course were executed in Xanthi Tanks’ Firing Range, which constitute the crowning touch of the young officers’ training.

During the training, targeting and target engagement techniques were applied, under realistic conditions, while, at the same time, the whole process was assessed.

On Monday, 18 March and on Tuesday, 19 March 2019, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Georgios Kampas, visited the area of responsibility of the 96th Higher National Guard Battalions Command (96 ADTE-“CHIOS”), as well as the HQs of the Formation, and Camps and Outposts of the island.

During his visit, he was informed on the current activities of the 96th Higher National Guard Battalions Command, he inspected the rapid reaction troops and he gave guidance and directions to the Commanders and addressed the Units’ personnel.

Change of Command Ceremony at the 1st Infantry Division

The Change of Command Ceremony of the 1st “Smyrna” Infantry Division was conducted on Thursday 14 March 2019 at the “MACEDONIAN FIGHTER KAPETAN AMYNDAS” Camp by Major General Petros Demestichas to Major General Savvas Kolokouris.

The Chief of HAGS Lieutenant General Georgios Kambas attended the ceremony along with representatives of the local political and religious authorities, Honorary Commanders of B’ Army Corps and the 1st Infantry Division, a delegation of active and retired Officers, as well as numerous guests.
