In the past month, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kambas, had formal meetings at his office with the following foreign Defence Attachés in Greece:
- Armenian Defence Attaché, Colonel Aleksey Abrahamyan.
- Serbian Defence Attaché, Colonel Dragan Petkovic.
- United Kingdom Defence Attaché, Captain Timothy David Ferns.
- United Arab Emirates Defence Attaché, Brigadier General Nabet Musaheb Saeed Al Zahmi.
During the visits, they discussed matters of mutual interest.

Book Presentation at the Athens Armed Forces Officers' Club "The Hellenic Army during WWI"

The Hellenic Army General Staff announces that on Thursday, 04 April 2019, at 18:00, a presentation of the two-volume project of HAGS/D4 (Army History Directorate) "The Hellenic Army during WWI" will take place at the Athens Armed Forces Officers' Club.
The book will be presented by Major (Art) Ioannis Bogris, honorary 1st Deputy Chief HAGS, Lieutenant General (ret.) Ioannis Kakoudakis, Major General (ret.) Ippokratis Daskalakis, and Dr. Ioannis Papafloratos. Colonel (Eng) Panagiotis Spyropoulos will moderate the event.
The Army History Directorate was awarded the Silver Medal of the Order of Natural Sciences by the Academy of Athens for its more than a century of contribution on 21 December 2018.
The event is open to the public.

Medal Award Ceremony at Hellenic First Army/EU-OHQ Headquarters

On Wednesday, 20 March 2019, a ceremony was held at the "ANTISTRATIGOU IOANNI TZANIDAKI" hall of honour at Hellenic First Army/EU-OHQ "AHILLEAS" Headquarters in Larissa for the award of medals of the Orders of Honour and the Phoenix to Officers of its Staff and Units.
The ceremony included the award of the following medals:
- Commander of the Order of Honour
- Commander of the Order of the Phoenix
- Gold Cross of the Order of Honour
- Gold Cross of the Order of the Phoenix
The medals were awarded to the Officers by the Commanding General of the Hellenic First Army, Lieutenant General Konstantinos Floros.
