On Thursday, 24 November 2022, troops and assets of the II Mechanised Infantry Division "ELASSON”, the 34th Mechanised Brigade “APOSPASMA SCHOU DIALETI", and the 33rd Mechanised Brigade “SYNTAGMA KYDONION” conducted operational training at the Proving Ground of C Army Corps/NRDC-GR “MEGAS ALEXANDROS” in Assiros, Thessaloniki.
The training activity tested multiple operational tasks and procedures.

The activity was attended by the Commanding General of C Army Corps/NRDC-GR "MEGAS ALEXANDROS", Lieutenant General Sotirios Kostakoglou.

On Friday, 25 November 2022, a ceremony was held at the headquarters of D Army Corps “THRAKI” for the unveiling of the Corps’s Fallen Memorial, in the presence of the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Charalampos Lalousis, as representative of the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff.

The Memorial was constructed with D Army Corps funds, as well as donations from Mr. Georgios Dimitrakis and the companies GANIS SA, FHL KYRIAKIDIS GROUP, and EGNATIA ODOS SA.
