On Friday, 21 August 2020, the award ceremony of Static Line Parachutist diplomas and wing badges to Military Academy Cadets, Corps Officers Military School and NCO School Students, who graduated from the Parachutist Basic Training School, was held at the Parachutists School, in Aspropyrgos.

The diplomas and the Parachutist wing badges were awarded to the students by Chief/HAGS, Lieutenant General Charalambos Lalousis.

On Thursday 6 and on Friday 7 August 2020, the oath-taking ceremonies of 2020 D Enlistment Series Recruits were held, adhering to all necessary medical protocols to prevent the contagion and dispersion of the new coronavirus.

On Friday, 31 July 2020, the graduation ceremony of the 2nd Army War College Training Course was held at “OPLARHIGOU DALIPI” Camp in Thessaloniki and the graduation ceremony of the 31st Signals Officers Telecommunications-Electronics School Training Course was held at “KARAISKAKI A” Camp in Haidari, Attica.

A total of 121 Officers graduated from the Army War College, out of whom 16 Cypriots and 2 from BiH, while 15 Officers graduated from the Signals Officers Telecommunications-Electronics School, out of whom one Cypriot.

The Diplomas to the new graduates of the Army War College and the Signals Officers Telecommunications-Electronics School were awarded by the Army Inspector General-Doctrine and Training Commander, Lieutenant General Konstantinos Koutras and the Deputy Chief/HAGS, Lieutenant General Evangelos Lykos.

On Wednesday 29 July 2020, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff (HAGS) Lieutenant General Charalampos Lalousis made an official visit to the Headquarters of US Army Europe (USAREUR) in Wiesbaden – Germany.

During his visit, the Chief HAGS met the USAREUR Commander, Lieutenant General Christopher Cavoli, with whom he discussed matters of mutual interest, including amongst others the provision of Host Nation Support to the US Forces entering the European territory through our Country and in particular, via the port of Alexandroupolis, as well as the examination of training activities in order to strengthen further bilateral cooperation.

On Friday 17 July 2020, the oath-taking ceremony of Career Sergeants, Class 2020, was held at the Non-Commissioned Officers’ School at “Warrant Officer (Inf) Ioannis Palaiokastritis” Camp in Trikala, in the presence of the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Charalampos Lalousis, who awarded the degrees to graduates.

The ceremony was also attended by the Hellenic Army Inspector General Lieutenant General Konstantinos Koutras, the Commander of the 1st Hellenic Army HQ/EU-OHQ Lieutenant General Vasileios Papadopoulos, as well as representatives of Religious Authorities and Local Administration.

Graduates included 150 Career Sergeants, of which 131 from Greece and 19 from Cyprus.
