On Tuesday, 06 March 2018, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Alkiviadis Stefanis, visited the Infantry School in Halkis.

He wished good luck and success with their studies to the Officers attending
- The Basic Training Course (for Infantry 2nd Lieutenants)
- The Subunit Commander Course (for Infantry Lieutenants), and
- The Advanced Training Course (for Arms and Corps Captains)
and prompted them to study hard and believe that each of them can make the difference in any context.

Furthermore, he praised the personnel's morale and the pride it takes in the everyday execution of its mission.

On Tuesday 27 February 2018, a celebration event was held  at the Hellenic Armed Forces Officers’ Club for  the 70 years since the establishment of the Special Forces.  We paid  the due tribute and the appropriate respect to our legendary commandos.  We wish all the best to the Special Forces personnel, worthy successors of  their glorious history, of which we are all proud.

The motto ‘’Who Dares Wins’’ is not just the motto of the Special Forces but of the Hellenic Army as well.   Only through daring can we overcome all obstacles and lead our Army to the future, being competitive, effective and a pillar of national power.

On Tuesday 27 February 2018  Press Representatives  οf HAGS and Major Operational Commands and Formations met at HAGS Headquarters.

The matters discussed concerned public and media  briefing  on the  activities of the Army.

On Monday 26 February 2018, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Alkiviadis Stefanis, awarded a prize to the Soldier Nathanail Vasileios from the Military Band of the Higher Military Command of Army Support.

Soldier Nathanail studied piano at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki, from where he graduated in 2013 with distinction and was awarded the Piano Diploma. He is a senior student of the Department of Music Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He has won awards at music competitions and has been granted scholarships by the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki and the Gina Bachauer International Piano Foundation. He has participated in International Music Festivals, as well as in numerous other music events.

The Military Academy, within the framework of its international activity, participates in European cooperation programmes with foreign Military Academies, having as its main purpose the improvement of education and training provided.

In this context, on February 24th and 25th 2018, the Academy welcomed students from the Military Academies of the Netherlands, Italy, Romania and Poland, who will be brought together with Third Class Hellenic Military Academy Cadets at a separate classroom during this semester, where training will be offered in English on contemporary subjects, such as Cyber Security, Leadership and Law of Armed Conflict.
