From Monday, 12 March, through Thursday, 15 March 2018, a new enlistment process was implemented for the first time in the Army for 2018 B Enlistment Series soldiers in 22 Conscript Reception Centres.

We welcome the new recruits to the Army.

We wish them a safe military service!

The 1st ARMY Commander / EU – OHQ Lieutenant General Demokritos ZERVAKIS visited the ‘’EVROS’’ XII Mech I/D and the ‘’APSOS’’ 50th Mech Bde Areas of Responsibility on 15, 16 March 2018.

In the context of this visit, he received a briefing on the conscripts induction procedure at the Conscripts Reception Centre of ‘’MILIDONIS’’ Camp and attended Units and Outposts activities.

The excellent organisation, the high level of training and operational readiness, the superb moral and optimism of the personnel as a whole in executing their mission were ascertained.

On Sunday, March 18th 2018, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Alkiviadis Stefanis, visited the Area of Responsibility of the 98th Higher National Guard Battalions Command “ARCHIPELAGOS”, where he attended the training of Militiamen of the National Guard Battalions of Mytilene, Antissa, Polichnitos and Kalloni.

The training included theoretical subjects on individual and crew-served armaments, as well as First Aid.

At the completion of theoretical subjects, fires with all kinds of weapons took place.

The Chief had the opportunity to confirm the excellent organisation and conduct of the training, as well as the unbreakable bond between the Active Army, the National Guard and the Reserve Force.

 On Friday, March 16th 2018, the HAGS Press Representative Change of Responsibility ceremony took place in HAGS. Colonel (Arm) Michail Psaromichalakis assumed responsibility from Brigadier General Nikolaos Fanios after serving as Press Representative for 3 years.
