On Tuesday, 18 December 2018, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Alkiviadis Stefanis, visited the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon) in Vari, Attica.

During his visit, the Chief addressed the Academy's military and civilian personnel and the cadets. He mentioned, among others, the work performed by the Army, its presence, which is felt both in the country and abroad, and congratulated all personnel for the successful conclusion of the celebrations for the 190 years since the Academy's establishment.

He also congratulated the first class cadets on the reception of their cadet's dagger which, together with their oath-taking on 21 December, marks their official entry into the great family of Army Officers.

Finally, he exchanged wishes on the occasion of the Christmas and New Year's holidays.
