Training Regarding First Aid and Personnel Evacuation from a Helicopter, at the Army Aviation School

On Thursday, 17 May and on Friday, 18 May 2018, a training session was performed  with regard to First Aid and to personnel evacuation from a Helicopter, by Mr Maragoulias Dimitrios, a Certified First Aid Instructor, of the Rescue Training International (R.T.I.) and Hellenic Motors General Manager (Air evacuation), with a group of instructors, at the Headquarters of the Army Aviation School, in the military airfield of Alexandria, Imathia.

The training, which was performed in the context of  actions regarding personnel welfare, included:
Basic Life Support (BLS) theoretical subjects.

CPR, wounds bandaging, collar adjustment and response to drowning incidents were demonstrated.

Practical training regarding personnel evacuation from a Helicopter, casualty transport and First Aid on the field.

The Army Aviation School’s personnel and trainees, as well as the rescuers who staff ‘SOTIRIA’ group of Alexandria Airfield, attended the training.
