From 17 to 28 September 2018, within the framework of operational training, tank crews from Units of the XVI Mechanised Infantry Division "DIDYMOTIHO" and the 8th Motorised Brigade "VIII MP – IPIROS" conducted fires in the Xanthi and Litohoro Tank Ranges, respectively.

The crews conducted high level training, including day and night fires against mobile and pop-up targets.

The constant and realistic training of our personnel constitutes an important deterrence factor.

The fires in the Litohoro Tank Range were attended by the Commanding General of the Hellenic First Army, Lieutenant General Dimokritos Zervakis, and in the Xanthi Tank Range by the Commanding General of the XVI Mechanised Infantry Division, Major General Vasilios Papadopoulos.
