On Friday, 21 June 2019, the oath-taking ceremony of Second Lieutenants, Class of 2019, was held at the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon) in Vari, Attica, in the presence of His Excellency, the President of the Republic, Mr. Prokopis Pavlopoulos, who awarded the Officer's swords to the new Officers.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of National Defence, Mr. Evangelos Apostolakis, the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General (HAF) Christos Christodoulou, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kambas, the Chief of Hellenic Navy General Staff, Vice Admiral Nikolaos Tsounis HN, and the Chief of Hellenic Air Force General Staff, Lieutenant General (HAF) Georgios Blioumis, as well as Honorary Chiefs of General Staff, representatives of the religious and academic authorities, delegations of Armed and Security Forces Officers, retired Armed Forces Officers, and friends and family of the new Second Lieutenants.

Graduates included 218 Second Lieutenants, of which 179 from Greece, 34 from Cyprus, 3 from Armenia, 1 from Bosnia-Herzegovina, and 1 from Montenegro.
