From 22 to 23 June 2023, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Angelos Choudeloudis participated in the 30th European Armies Conference conducted in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, hosted by the Command of the US Army Europe and Africa (USAREUR-AF).

The Commander of USAREUR-AF, Chiefs of Armies of European States, the Chief of Staff of the US Army and the Commander of the Army of Canada participated in the Conference, which constitutes one of the leading activities pertaining to cooperation for defence in Europe.

The main subject of the Conference was the Future role of land forces in the deterrence and defence of the Euro-Atlantic Area.

In the Conference’s context, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff conducted bilateral meetings with his counterparts from the USA, General James C. McConville, France, General Pierre Schill, Romania, Major General Ciprian Marin and Armenia, Major General Edward Asryan. During the talks, conducted in an exquisitely amicable manner, topics of common interest were discussed.
