In the context of personnel welfare and extroversion of the Hellenic Army General Staff, the 1st Army / EU-OHQ / “Achilles” participated with personnel of the 32 Field Artillery Battalion, serving at the Nursery of the Larissa Guard and the Army Band, in activities of the Non-profit Voluntary Organisation “The Smile of the Child”, as follows:
- In the “2nd Great Celebration for Children”, which took place at a venue of the Larissa Municipality, from 19 to 20 May 2018, with numerous events, like creative activities, paintings exhibition and theatrical – musical events.
- The 4th Panthessalic Soccer Tournament, titled “We Score for the Smile of the Child”, which took place at the AEL FC ARENA soccer field, from 01 to 03 June 2018, with the conduct of soccer games and the participation of more than 2000 children, from schools of the area and sports associations.
In the aforementioned activities there was also voluntary participation of members of the Army who came with their families and embraced this activity, demonstrating their willingness to contribute to the well-being of our fellow humans.
