On Friday 14 July 2023, the oath-taking ceremony of the new Career Sergeants of Class 2023 “Col (INF) Spyridon Theodoropoulos” took place at the NCOs Academy in Trikala, in the presence of the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Angelos Choudeloudis as representative of the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff General Konstantinos Floros, who presented the oath-takers with the certificates.

The ceremony attendees were the Mayor of Trikala Mr Nikos Sakkas, the Metropolitan Bishop of Tricca, Gardikio & Pyli Mr Chrysostomos, who officiated the ceremony, the Commander of the 1st Army/EU-ΟHQ “ACHILLEAS” Lieutenant General Ioannis Tsioplios, representatives of the Chiefs of HAFGS, HNGS and the National Guard General Staff, representatives of the Local Self-government, active and retired Officers, descendants of the hero of Class 2023 “Col (INF) Spyridon Theodoropoulos”, as well as relatives of the new Career Sergeants.

185 Career Sergeants took the oath in total, of whom 149 were from Greece and 36 were from Cyprus.
