On Friday 10 September 2021, HAGS Chief Lieutenant General Charalambos Lalousis and Secretary General of the Ministry of National Defence Mr. Antonios Economou inaugurated the new guest houses complex of Thessaloniki Guard in “KOTTA” Camp and the 3rd Nursery School in “KALLIOPI LYKA” Camp. The inauguration ceremony, in the implementation of which the C Army Corps Construction Platoon actively participated, was also attended by the 1st Army/EU-OHQ “ACHILLEAS” Commander Lieutenant General Petros Demestichas, the C Army Corps Commander (C ARMY CORPS/NRDC-GR “MEGAS ALEXANDROS”) Lieutenant General Anastasios Spanos, the Vice Regional Governor of Central Macedonia for Health Mr. Mittas Christos (inauguration of the 3rd Nursery School) and the Social Policy Deputy Mayor of Thessaloniki Municipality Mr. Aidonopoulos Charalambos (inauguration of the 3rd Nursery School).

In detail, 12 guest rooms were provided for use, which resulted from the full transformation and renovation of the old General Military Training Hospital building (old 424 General Military Training Hospital). The new guest houses completely fulfill the modern housing requirements and provide excellent living conditions for the military personnel and their families.

The new and modern nursery school is hosted at C Army Corps Park (C Army Corps/NRDC-GR MEGAS ALEXANDROS”) in Pedion Areos, it can accommodate 18 infants and it is fully equipped with all necessities for its operation, adjusted to the needs of pre-school age children.

During his visit to 424 General Military Training Hospital and C Veterinary Hospital, the Chief made a tour in their facilities, thanked the personnel for the work done and gave directions for the execution of their mission.
