On Thursday 1 June 2023, in the context of the network of international cooperations with friendly and allied countries planned by HNDGS, the Distinguished Visitors Day – DV DAY of the Field Training Exercise “PIRIN SENTINEL - 23” was conducted at the Koren Training Area-KTA in Bulgaria, at the level of Battalion. It was conducted with the participation of detachments from the XXIII Armour Brigade “3^rd Cavalry Regiment - Doryleo”, of the 1^st Army Aviation Brigade “Kilkis-Lachana”, as well as detachments of the Armed Forces of Bulgaria and Italy.

The Field Training Exercise “PIRIN SENTINEL - 23” was conducted with live fire and included subjects of operational training aiming to enhance the operational readiness and interoperability among the participating countries.

The final stage of the exercise was observed by the Chief of the Armed Forces of Bulgaria Admiral Emil Eftimov, the Commander of D Army Corps “Thrace” Lieutenant General Dimokritos Konstantakos, as representative of the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Angelos Choudeloudis and the Chief of the Land Forces of Bulgaria Major General Deyan Deshkov.

During the exercise, it was concluded that the organisation was exquisite, as was the training and operational readiness of the engaged detachments and the high level of cooperation, along with the strengthening of the bonds between the participating countries.
