The Final Stage of the “1st National Guard Pan-Hellenic Shooting Competition” was conducted at the Litochoro Firing Range on Sunday 02 December 2018, to deem which is the best shooting team of the members of the National Guard for 2018.

This action is organised for the first time and aims to enhance the combative capability of the members of our National Guard throughout the territory, in the context of emulation.

National Guard shooting teams consisting of 10 athletes each, from C’ and D’ Army Corps as well as the Higher Military Command of Interior and Islands participated in the Competition’s final stage.

At the level of Major Commands and Formations, the shooting team of C’ Army Corps came first, while the team of the Higher Military Command of Interior and Islands and the team of D’ Army Corps came second and third, respectively.

At the level of formations, the shooting team of the 96 Higher National Guard Battalions Command came first.

Individually, the member of the National Guard Antonios Kazantsis from the VYSSA National Guard Battalion of D’ Army Corps came first, the member of the National Guard Aristides Karakonstantis from the CHIOS National Guard Battalion of the Higher Military Command of Interior and Islands came second and the member of the National Guard Vasilios Natsiopoulos from the KOZANI National Guard Battalion of C’ Army Corps came third.

After the completion of the competition, cups and commendations were awarded to the shooting teams, as well as medals and commemorative certificates to each member of the National Guard individually.

The activity was observed by the Commander of the 1st Army Lieutenant General Dimokritos Zervakis, the Commander of D’ Army Corps Lieutenant General Georgios Kampas and the Commander of the Higher Military Command of Interior and Islands Lieutenant General Nikolaos Manolakos.
