On Thursday, 18 January 2024, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff Change of Responsibility ceremony took place at the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon) in Vari, Attica, with Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis assuming responsibility from General Angelos Choudeloudis, in the presence of the Minister of National Defence, Mr. Nikos Dendias.

The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Mr. Ioannis Kefalogiannis, the Deputy Minister of Development, Ms. Anna Mani – Papadimitriou, MP for Kastoria Ms. Maria Vasiliou – Antoniou, the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Dimitrios Choupis, the Honorary Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Konstantinos Floros (ret.), Honorary Chiefs of Cypriot National Guard General Staff, the Metropolitan of Glyfada, Elliniko, Voula, Vouliagmeni & Vari, Mr. Antonios, who officiated the ceremony, members of the Holy Synod, the Chief of Hellenic Navy General Staff, Vice Admiral Dimitrios – Eleftherios Kataras HN, the Chief of Hellenic Air Force General Staff, Lieutenant General (HAF) Dimosthenis Grigoriadis, the Chief of the Fire Service, Fire Service Lieutenant General Theodoros Vagias, Honorary Chiefs of Hellenic Army General Staff, the members of the Supreme Military Council, the President of the Court Martial Appeal Court, Lieutenant General Theodoros Papakostas, the Chief of Staff of the Hellenic Police Headquarters, Major General Christos Manouras as representative of the Chief of the Hellenic Police, the 1st Deputy Chief of the Hellenic Coast Guard, Vice Admiral Alexandros Tselikis CG, as representative of the Chief of the Hellenic Coast Guard, local government representatives, active duty Armed and Security Forces Officers, foreign Defence and Military Attachés, retired Armed Forces Officers, and other guests.
