From 29 to 31 October 2021, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Charalampos Lalousis, visited the Area of Responsibility of C Army Corps/NRDC-GR "MEGAS ALEXANDROS".

In particular, the Chief, accompanied by the Commanding General of the Hellenic First Army/EU-OHQ “ACHILLEAS”, Lieutenant General Petros Demestichas, and the Commanding General of C Army Corps/NRDC-GR "MEGAS ALEXANDROS", Lieutenant General Anastasios Spanos, visited the Area of Responsibility of the 9th Motorised Infantry Brigade “ANDRIANOUPOLI”, while accompanied by the Commanding General of C Army Corps/NRDC-GR "MEGAS ALEXANDROS", Lieutenant General Anastasios Spanos, he visited the Area of Responsibility of the 8th Motorised Infantry Brigade “VIII MP IPIROU”.

During the visit, the Chief visited Units, Surveillance Outposts, and military installations and confirmed the high operational readiness level and morale of the personnel.

Furthermore, on Friday, 29 October 2021, the Chief, accompanied by the Commanding General of the Hellenic First Army/EU-OHQ “ACHILLEAS”, Lieutenant General Petros Demestichas, the Commanding General of the Higher Army Support Military Command “THISEAS”, Lieutenant General Leonidas Kakavas, and the Commanding General of C Army Corps/NRDC-GR "MEGAS ALEXANDROS", Lieutenant General Anastasios Spanos, visited ammunition storage Units, as well as the West Macedonia Lignite Centre, where he attended explosive ordnance disposal works carried out by Army personnel.

Finally, on Sunday, 31 October 2021, the Chief attended the annual memorial service to honour the fallen of the Cavalry Division during the 1940-41 war, which took place at the Cavalry Memorial in Metsovo.
