From 27 to 28 May 2019, Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kampas, paid an official visit to Germany, following an invitation by his counterpart, Chief of the German Land Army, Lieutenant General Jörg Vollmer.

Chief HAGS visited the Military Training Centre, as well as the German Parliament.

Matters of mutual interest concerning the fields of cooperation of the Greek and German Land Armies were discussed, as well as the organization of rapid reaction Units and Formations, the training of Helicopter crews, the training of units in conditions resembling reality, as well as PESCO programmes.

The visit’s programme also included a show by high-tech systems; during his visit, Chief HAGS was accompanied by Greece’s Defence Attaché to Germany
