On Monday, 14 November 2022, a ceremony was held at the 401st Army General Hospital of Athens for its 50 years of continuous operation, in the presence of the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Konstantinos Floros, and the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Charalampos Lalousis.
The ceremony was also attended by the Deputy Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kellis, the Commanding General of the Higher Military Command of Interior and Islands “AEGEAS”, Lieutenant General Dimitrios Choupis, and the Commanding General of the Higher Army Support Military Command “THISEAS”, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis.
Addresses were given by the Chiefs of Hellenic National Defence General Staff and Hellenic Army General Staff, while the Commander of the 401st Army General Hospital of Athens, Major General Dimitrios Kasimos, read the Order of the Day and made a brief presentation of the Hospital’s history.
Speeches were given by Lieutenant General Konstantinos Kyriakopoulos (ret.), neurosurgeon, Brigadier General Chrysanthi Aligizaki – Agapaki (ret.), and the Scientific Director of the “Benaki” Museum, Mr. Georgios Magginis.
