On Friday, 23 September 2022, a ceremony was held at the headquarters of the 304^th Forward Base Plant in Velestino, Magnisia, to celebrate the 50 years of the plant, in the presence of the Deputy Minister of State, Mr. Christos Triantopoulos, and the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Charalampos Lalousis, as representative of the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff.

The ceremony was attended by MPs, the Metropolitan of Demetrias and Almyros, Mr. Ignatios, the Commanding General of the Higher Army Support Military Command “THISEAS”, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, the Deputy head of Region for Magnisia and the Sporades, Ms. Dorothea Kolyndrini, as well as Armed and Security Forces officers.

Furthermore, the plant welcomed for the 25^th consecutive year the Honourable Head of Venerable David of Evia.

In his speech, the Chief stressed the great importance of the plant during its 50 years of continuous operation, thanked the personnel for providing technical support to our tanks and maintaining high availability levels, and provided guidelines for the fulfilment of their mission.
