During December 2018, the Army, within the framework of its social contribution, provided Army Landmine Clearance Battalion personnel and assets to search 1.68 hectares of land, where 2 mines, 69 pieces of ammunition, 10 hand grenades, and 246 detonators were found, cleared, and disposed of.

Furthermore, 12 EOD incidents were immediately and successfully handled, during both day and night time, upon request by the competent authorities of the Ministry of Citizen Protection, with 7 pieces of ammunition, 5 hand grenades, and 1 detonator cleared and disposed of.

The above ammunition, explosives, and devices are mostly remnants of past conflicts, found within the framework of scheduled works.
