On Friday, 19 January 2024, the Army Inspector General Change of Responsibility ceremony took place at the Infantry School in Camp “VELISSARIOU IOANNI” in Halkis, with Lieutenant General Spyridon Alfantakis assuming responsibility from Lieutenant General Anastasios Spanos, in the presence of the Deputy Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Andreas Koronakis.

The ceremony was also attended by Honorary Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, General Georgios Kambas (ret.), the Commandant of the Hellenic National Defence College, Lieutenant General Athanasios Sardellis, active duty and retired Officers, and other guests.
