On Friday 14 June 2024, in the presence of the Deputy Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Andreas Koronakis, at the “Lieutenant General Sotirios Stavrianakos” Camp, the handover ceremony of the duties of the Commander of the Hellenic Force in Cyprus was conducted, from Colonel (INF) Panagiotis Keramidas to Colonel (INF) Asterios Despoudis.

Other attendants at the ceremony were the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Cyprus Mr Vasilis Palmas, the Chief of the National Guard General Staff Lieutenant General Georgios Tsitsikostas, the Ambassador of Greece in the Republic of Cyprus Mr Ioannis Papameletiou, the President of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence Affairs of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus Mr Marinos Sizopoulos, the General Director of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Cyprus Mr Andreas Louka, active and retired Officers and other invites.
