On Monday, 22 July 2019, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kambas, visited the Area of Responsibility of C Army Corps/NRDC-GR "MEGAS ALEXANDROS".

In particular, he visited the 33rd Mechanised Brigade "SYNTAGMA KYDONION", the 181st "HAWK" Guided Missile Battalion, and the Army Resort and the Summer Camp in Nea Fokea, Halkidiki, accompanied by the Commanding General of C Army Corps, Lieutenant General Konstantinos Koutras.

During his visit, the Chief HAGS attended the deployment of the 33rd Mechanised Brigade Headquarters, inspected the Rapid Intervention Troops, and addressed the personnel. The visit confirmed the high readiness level of the Formation.
The Chief then went to a Battery of the 181st "HAWK" Guided Missile Battalion, where he attended the procedures to put the Battery on a state of maximum readiness. The visit confirmed the Battalion readiness personnel's excellent mission awareness and high level of professionalism.

Finally, during his visit to the facilities in Nea Fokea, Halkidiki, the Chief HAGS was briefed on the damages caused by the storm, inspected the progress of repair works, and set deadlines for the reactivation of the facilities.
