From 30 October to 01 November 2023, Artillery Units of the Hellenic First Army/EU-OHQ “ACHILLEAS” conducted Fire Training at the Petrota Range in Rodopi for the 2nd half of 2023.

The activity included the implementation of all relevant support fire request, coordination, and execution procedures in order to achieve the greatest synergy possible among those involved in the operations, following the “train as you fight” principle.

In particular, fires were conducted by self-propelled M109 and PzH 2000GR howitzers and RM-70 multiple rocket launchers. The activity confirmed the high level of operational training of the personnel in the technical and tactical use of the weapon systems.
