From 10 to 12 June 2024, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis participated in the 31st European Armies Conference conducted in Garmisch – Germany, organised by the Command of the US Army Europe and Africa (USAREUR-AF).
Other participants in the Conference, which constitutes one of the top activities pertaining to collaboration on defence in Europe, were the Commander of the US Army Europe and Africa (USAREUR-AF), Chiefs of Armies of European States and of the USA.
The main theme of the Conference was “The Future of Warfighting – Building Combat Ready Forces Through Transformation”.
In the context of the Conference, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff conducted bilateral meetings with his counterparts from Albania General Ilir Xhebexhia, the USA General Alan George Randy, Italy Lieutenant General Carmine Masiello, Romania Lieutenant General Ciprian Marin, Finland Lieutenant General Pasi Valimaki, as well as the Representative of the Chief of the North Macedonia Army Brigadier General Besnik Emini. During these meetings, which took place in an excellent atmosphere, matters of mutual interest were discussed and prospects for bilateral cooperations in the field of training were examined.
