On Monday, 24 October 2022, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Charalampos Lalousis, welcomed the Chief of the French Army, General Pierre Schill, who is on an official visit to our country following an invitation from the Chief HAGS. During the meeting, which took place in an excellent atmosphere, the two Chiefs discussed the strengthening of the bonds between the two Armies through:

– The development of a common strategic culture.

– The improvement of interoperability.

– Joint exercises and training activities.

– Cooperation between Military Academies and Application Schools.

Subsequently, the Chief HAGS accompanied his French counterpart to the headquarters of the 32nd Marine Brigade “MORAVAS” and the 1st Army Aviation Brigade “KILKIS-LAHANAS”, where they were welcomed by the Commanding General of the Special Warfare Command of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Tsitsikostas, and the Commanding General of the Hellenic First Army/EU OHQ “ACHILLEAS”, Lieutenant General Angelos Houdeloudis, respectively. The visit included a tour of Units of the two Formations and a briefing on their work and mission.
