On Sunday 13 October 2024, the Field Exercises (FTX) “OPLARHIGOS ANDREAS MAKOULIS-24” and “KYKLOPS-24” took place in the Area of Responsibility of the XIIth Mechanised Infantry Division, with the participation of National Guardsmen of the ALEXANDROUPOLIS – TRAIANOUPOLIS National Guard Battalions, as well as of personnel and assets of C Armoured Reconnaissance Battalion and the 1st Army Aviation Brigade “KILKIS LAHANA”.
The field exercises tested multiple operational tasks in order to increase the operational readiness of the Formations. The training was observed by the Commanding General of D Army Corps “THRAKI”, Lieutenant General Stavros Papastathopoulos.
