On Monday, 12 December 2022, a ceremony was held at the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon) for the award of commemorative medals to personnel who participated in the operations in Cyprus in 1964, 1967, and 1974, as well as the award of Medals for Outstanding Act to Officers in Wartime Availability. The medals were awarded to the recipients by the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Charalampos Lalousis as representative of the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff.

The ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Kyriakos A. Kenevezos, the Mayor of Vari, Voula, and Vouliagmeni, Mr. Grigorios Konstantellos, the Commanding General of the Higher Army Support Military Command “THISEAS”, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, Archimandrite Christodoulos Samaras as representative of the Metropolitan of Glyfada, Elliniko, Voula, Vouliagmeni, and Vari, as well as Armed Forces Officers.
