On Friday, 27 January 2023, the Higher Military Command of Interior and Islands “AEGEAS” Change of Command Ceremony took place at Camp “SAKETA B” in Kareas, Attica, with Lieutenant General Sotirios Kostakoglou assuming command from Lieutenant General Dimitrios Choupis.

The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Mr. Nikolaos Chardalias, The MP for the Dodecanese, Mr. Ioannis Papas, the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Konstantinos Floros, the Metropolitan of Kesariani, Vyron, and Ymmitos, Mr. Daniil, who officiated the ceremony, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Angelos Choudeloudis, Honorary Chiefs of Hellenic Army General Staff, active duty and retired Armed Forces Officers, and other guests.
