From 5 to 9 December 2022, within the framework of the Greece – United Arab Emirates 2022 Military Cooperation Programme signed on 31 March by the directors of international relations of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff and the UAE Armed Forces General Staff, a training activity was conducted for 4 Officers and 23 NCOs of the United Arab Emirates Army at the National Urban Warfare Operations Centre of Excellence of the 71st Airmobile Brigade “PONTOS”. The training activity also involved 2 UAE Army Officers as observers.

The training included the following tasks:

•    Briefing on the principles and procedures of urban warfare.
•    Fast roping and rapelling.
•    Small arms fire training and Close Quarter Battle
•    Battlefield first aid.
