From 07 to 09 October 2024, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis conducted an official visit to Italy, following an invitation from his counterpart, Lieutenant General Carmine Masiello.

The Chief of HAGS had a private meeting with his Italian counterpart, with whom he exchanged views on matters of mutual interest. The meeting was very pleasant and amicable and the common will for even greater enhancement of the cooperation between the two sides was confirmed.

Subsequently, the Chief of HAGS conducted a visit to the Italian Army’s Infantry School, at the Motorised Brigade “Granatieri di Sardegna” and at the Regiment “Lancieri di Montebello”, where he was briefed on their mission and activities and was given a tour of their facilities.
