From 04 to 09 July 2026, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, accompanied by the Commanding General of the Supreme Military Command of Epirus and Macedonia/NRDC-GR “MEGAS ALEXANDROS”, Lieutenant General Grigorios Bountliakis, and the Commanding General of the Supreme Military Command of the Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean “AEGEAS”, Lieutenant General Dimitrios Vakentis, visited the Areas of Responsibility of the Supreme Military Command of Epirus and Macedonia/NRDC-GR and the 98th Higher National Guard Battalions Command “ARCHIPELAGO”.

In particular, on Saturday 04 July 2026, the Chief visited the “GRAMMOS” Surveillance Outpost in the Area of Responsibility of the 9th Motorised Brigade “ANDRIANOUPOLI”.

On Monday, 06 July 2026, the Chief visited Camp “KARAGEORGIOU” in Argos Orestiko and Camp “PAPAPETROU” in Amynteo, where he was given a tour of their facilities.

On Tuesday, 07 July 2026, the Chief went to the islet of Othoni, where he visited the “OTHONI” Surveillance Outpost and was briefed on its mission and operational and training activities.

On Wednesday, 08 July 2026, the Chief visited the 2nd Reservist Refresher Training Centre at the headquarters of the XXIV Armoured Brigade “1st CAVALRY REGIMENT – FLORINA” in Litochoro, Pieria, where he was briefed on its mission and reservist training activities. He then went to the area of Kanapitsa, Litochoro, where the cadets of the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon) conduct summer – field training and high school students attend the 2nd Summer Campus.

During the visit, he was briefed on the summer training conducted by the Academy cadets, as well as on the training schedule followed by the Summer Campus participants, and attended part of the training activities.

On Thursday, 09 July 2026, the Chief visited the headquarters of the 98th Higher National Guard Battalions Command at Camp “MAVROMICHALI”, where he was briefed on the Formation’s mission and operational and training activities and provided guidelines to the personnel. Finally, he visited the “AKROTIRI” and “KOUTSOUKIDI” Surveillance Outposts, Units, and military installations.
