On Friday 16 October 2026, to mark “World Food Day”, the event “Bread Day” was held in the “Squadron Leader Dimitrios Kamberos” Hall at the “FIELD MARSHAL ALEXANDROS PAPAGOS” Camp, in the presence of the Chief of Staff of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Konstantinos Karamanidis, who represented the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis and the Commander of the Higher Military Command of Army Support Lieutenant General Athanasios Saplaouras.

The event included a screening of audiovisual material, a speech by the Director of the HAGS Supply and Transport Directorate Brigadier General Victoras Gesoulas and by the representative of the European Bread Museum Ms. Zoe Katsiki, on the topic: “Bread in the Greek Revolution”.

Following the event, there was a brief tour of the bakery products exhibition area.
