On Friday 27 September 2024, the ceremony for the designation of the Professor of Greek Philology Mr. Anna Maria Vidali as Professor Emeritus of the Army Academy, due to her retirement, was held at the Army Academy in the presence of the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis.

Ms. Anna – Maria Vidali has been distinguished for her excellent scientific work and her ceaseless contribution to the Academy, where she had been teaching since 1984. Her award constitutes an acknowledgement of her long contribution, while her work and her morale shall be a point of reference for next generations.

The ceremony was honoured by the presence of: the Army Inspector General Lieutenant General Spyridon Alfandakis, the Honorary Chief of the National Guard General Staff General (ret.) Georgios Basiakoulis, Honorary Commanders of the Army Academy, the Dean of the Academy Mr. Georgios Kaimakamis, members of the academic personnel, Officers and Cadets.
