On Tuesday, August 11, 2026, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, accompanied by the Commanding General of the Supreme Military Command of Army Support “THESEUS” Lieutenant General Athanasios Saplaouras, visited the headquarters of the Inspectorate General/EL EU – OHQ in Larissa. There, he was welcomed by the Army Inspector General/Commanding General of EL EU – OHQ, Lieutenant General Stavros Papastathopoulos. He was briefed on the work of the Army Inspectorate General and issued relevant guidelines.

Subsequently, the Chief visited the headquarters of the 6^th Sustainment Brigade “MYRMIDONES” where he was briefed on the Formation’s mission as well as its operational and training activities and provided guidelines to the personnel.

Finally, he visited the headquarters of the 1^st Army Aviation Brigade “KILKIS-LACHANAS” where he was briefed on the formation’s mission, operational and training activities and issued guidelines to the personnel.
