On Thursday, 30 August 2018, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Alkiviadis Stefanis, opened a two-day event on Innovation organised by HAGS, which will take place on 30 and 31 August 2018.

In his address, the Chief welcomed the participants, pointing out that the aim of this particular event is to prompt all Army personnel into contributing innovative ideas – proposals, aimed at introducing new technologies, structures, and procedures, thus optimising the Army’s operation.

The first day of the event featured:

– Lectures by specialised experts on innovation matters (university professors, entrepreneurs, state officials).

– The formation of teams of officers to shape innovation proposals.

– The selection of the best proposals to be discussed and recognised on the second day of the event.
