On Saturday, 9 July 2022, a ceremony was held at Camp “STRATIGOU GEORGIOU KATEHAKI” in Rhodes for the inauguration of the Church of Panaghia Nikopios.
The ceremony, which was officiated by the Metropolitan of Rhodes, Mr. Kyrillos, was attended by Members of Parliament, the Army Inspector General – Commander of the Doctrine and Training Command, Lieutenant General Nikolaos Flaris, the Commanding General of the Higher Military Command of Interior and Islands “AEGEAS”, Lieutenant General Dimitrios Houpis, the Commanding General of the 95th Higher National Guard Battalions Command “DIAGORIDON”, Major General Dimitrios Vakentis, the Mayor of Rhodes, Mr. Antonis Kambourakis, the Deputy Head of Region for the Dodecanese, Mr. Christos Efstratiou, Armed and Security Forces officers, as well as crowds of people.
