From 21 to 23 July 2026, the Chief of Land Forces of Austria, Lieutenant General Martin DORFER paid a formal visit to Greece, following an invitation by the Chief HAGS, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis.
On Wednesday 22 July 2026, the Chief HAGS received his counterpart at Camp “PAPAGOU” within the framework of the visit. During the meeting, which took place in an excellent atmosphere, the strengthening of the bonds between the two Armies through the increase of bilateral military cooperation activities was discussed.
Afterwards, the Chief of Land Forces of Austria visited the Hellenic Military Academy, where he was briefed on its work and was given a tour of its facilities.
Next, he visited the Hellenic Research, Technological Development, and Innovation Centre of HNDGS, where he was briefed on its work and mission, was given a tour of the Artificial Intelligence and Design Laboratories, and observed a static demonstration of Unmanned Aerial Systems.
