On Friday, 04 September 2026, within the framework of the implementation of the Female Volunteer Enlistment programme in the Army, ceremonies were held for the first time ever for the commissioning and the graduation from the Special Forces Specialty Course of the first 2026 B Enlistment Series female volunteer enlisted soldiers.

In particular, 3 female volunteers were commissioned as Potential Reserve Officers during the ceremonies for Reserve Officers that took place at the Supply and Transportation School in Sparta, the Medical Corps Application School in Athens, and the Engineer Corps School in Loutraki, the first ever female Potential Reserve Officers in the Army.

Furthermore, a ceremony was held at the Military Police Training Centre in Karditsa for the graduation of 2 volunteer Military Policewomen, while a ceremony was also held at the Special Forces Training Centre in Nea Peramos for the award of the green beret to 9 female volunteers who successfully graduated from the Special Forces Specialty Course.

These ceremonies are an important milestone in the implementation and development of the Female Volunteer Enlistment institution, broadening their active participation in main tasks and specialties of the Hellenic Army.
